Today is Children’s Day, although according to the calendar, it marks the beginning of summer with the onset of Rikka.

Yesterday, May 4th, and again this morning, the weather was exceptionally good, prompting me to take my camera to Sakazu Park in Sakazu, Kurashiki, Okayama, where our company AEDI is also located, and capture the scenes.

Today, I experienced a morning with a pleasant breeze, low humidity, and surrounded by nature, just like yesterday. It felt like being in the green breeze, reminiscent of Kazumasa Oda’s famous song “In the Midst of Sorrow, As It Is.”

Sakazu Park holds memories of playing softball with friends, collecting insects like grasshoppers and beetles, fishing for crucian carp and koi from my childhood. Even today, it’s a place where I go for jogging or walking before or after work, and when I need to unwind and relax amidst nature.

While Sakazu Park is famous for its cherry blossoms and attracts many visitors during their bloom, I personally prefer the period from Rikka to Shubun when the cherry blossoms have fallen and new leaves sprout, painting the trees in lush green.

So, if you’re interested, please take a look at the scenes from Sakazu Park in Sakazu, Kurashiki, Okayama, captured this morning.
