From New Year’s Day this year, Shiga Town in Ishikawa experienced a magnitude 7 earthquake, known as the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake, which was felt from Hokkaido to Kyushu. Yesterday, there was also a disaster and accident involving a collision between aircraft from Japan Airlines (JAL) and the Japan Coast Guard.

Our deepest condolences go out to those who lost their lives and their grieving families. Additionally, we extend our heartfelt sympathies to everyone affected by these incidents.

It’s painful, truly painful.

Why did such unimaginable disasters and accidents happen one after another in Japan from the very start of the New Year?

Perhaps the only thing I can do right now is to make a donation. This sentiment is shared by AEDI, our company. Services like web design and graphic design are often unable to provide direct assistance in the aftermath of disasters and accidents.

However, in some way, whether it be in disaster prevention, post-disaster information processing and infrastructure development, or designing UI/UX to minimize errors among people, we believe that we might be able to contribute in a small way.

While our official work at AEDI begins on January 4th, I, personally, will start working today.

Thank you for everything last year.
We sincerely ask for your continued support this year.

May those affected by these events regain peaceful days as soon as possible.
