Waves crashing from the winter Japan Sea. Beams of light streaming through gaps in the clouds. A two-minute key visual.
This video serves as AEDI's 2023 key visual, featured on our website from January 1, 2023, when our previous version, AEDI V4, was live, until the September 6, 2023, launch of our new website, AEDI V5. While key visuals are typically static images, we strategically chose to use a video to leave a lasting impression on our website visitors. The footage was captured on December 29, 2022, at Kizuki Beach Park in Izumo, Shimane Prefecture, near Izumo Taisha Shrine, overlooking the Japan Sea. It features the powerful waves of the winter Japan Sea beneath a ray of light streaming through the gaps in the clouds—a dawn ray of hope. We named it "HOPE," wishing for the aftermath of COVID-19 and the Ukraine-Russia war to dissipate, and for peaceful days to return soon. This two-minute key visual combines footage of waves crashing from the Japan Sea with the word "HOPE," gradually unfolding as a motion graphic. While simple, it underwent unique filming and editing. As of today, September 20, 2023, the war has not yet ended, but we sincerely hope for its swift conclusion and the return of peaceful days.
