Our Graphic T-Shirt Samples Have Arrived
The weather has become quite hot again this year. Stepping outside, the sun feels intense, and it doesn’t take long before you’re covered in sweat.
This is exactly the kind of season when T-shirts become indispensable. You can never have too many of them, especially your favorite graphic T-shirts, which always help brighten your day.
Following last year’s collection, we’ve once again ordered sample versions of the graphic T-shirts we designed. This year, we received four designs in total: three from the SimpleTastes brand and one from the AEDI brand.
The T-shirts come in three colors: Mixed Gray, Indigo, and Black.
The Mixed Gray and Indigo versions are printed on the United Athle 5001-01 (5.6 oz) T-shirt. The Mixed Gray shirt is made of 90% cotton and 10% polyester, while the Indigo version is 100% cotton. The Black version uses the D-FACTORY DF1108 (5.6 oz, 100% cotton).
This was my first time trying a D-FACTORY T-shirt. From my personal experience, the black D-FACTORY DF1108 feels slightly smoother to the touch than the black United Athle 5001-01 graphic T-shirts that I already own.
I couldn’t find any information online explaining why the D-FACTORY shirt was used this time. However, my first impression has been very positive. I think it’s an excellent T-shirt. The combination of the black logo design and the black fabric creates a clean, understated look, giving the graphic T-shirt a refined appearance. I was also very impressed with the quality of the fabric.

All of these T-shirts are now available on SUZURI.
By the way, yesterday I heard cicadas for the first time this year—a sure sign that summer has truly arrived.

As a web and graphic design company, our main work is web design and development. However, we also photograph the visual assets needed for the websites we create.
For this project, we photographed the T-shirts featured on the AEDI website and in this blog post. Although this was much simpler than a typical client photo shoot, our goal was to see how efficiently we could create high-quality images while keeping the setup and production time to a minimum.
The equipment we used consisted of a camera, a flash, a tripod, a white backdrop, and a white hanger. The backdrop was only slightly wider than the T-shirt itself and was attached to the wall with masking tape. The T-shirt was then hung on the backdrop using the hanger. No additional lighting equipment was used.
At first, we tried photographing the T-shirts without a flash, but the daylight coming through the window made it difficult to achieve the look we wanted. However, by using a compact flash (GODOX iT30 Pro), we were able to produce images that we were very happy with, even in such a simple shooting environment. It’s amazing how much difference a single compact flash can make.
If we were to be a little more particular, we probably should have lightly ironed the T-shirts before the shoot.
After developing the RAW files in Adobe Lightroom Classic, we completed the post-processing in Adobe Photoshop by removing the hanger. We also experimented with adding a drop shadow after removing the background using Photoshop’s AI features, but it looked a little unnatural. In the end, we decided to remove the shadow as well, resulting in a much cleaner final image.
