Thank you for your continued support of AEDI.
At AEDI and our sub-brand, the logo design specialty shop “A Small Logo Shop LogoLand ↗︎,” we have been providing logo designs using commercially licensed fonts such as Morisawa Fonts ↗︎ and Adobe Fonts ↗︎.
Previously, when registering a trademark for a logo using Morisawa Fonts, it was required that the customer personally hold a license agreement with Morisawa Fonts.
However, as of May 13, 2025, Morisawa Fonts has updated its policy, allowing trademark registration even if the person registering is not the license holder.

Logos and other deliverables created using the Morisawa Fonts Standard Plan or Select 8/24 can now be registered as trademarks even by those who are not license holders.

As a result of this update, since Shozo Karato, designer of AEDI and LogoLand, holds a valid Standard Plan license with Morisawa Fonts, logos created by AEDI are now eligible for trademark registration without requiring our clients to obtain their own font license.
This change allows you to proceed with trademark applications with greater confidence and ease.

Trademark Application Support Services
While AEDI and LogoLand do not typically offer direct trademark registration services, we are able to assist upon request through the following options:
- Filing support using an online trademark registration service
- Formal application support via patent offices or licensed trademark attorneys
We will suggest the most suitable option based on your needs and provide smooth support throughout the process.
Please note:
- In either case, a handling fee of 20% will be charged in addition to the official application costs (including tax).
- Advance payment is required. We will issue an invoice by email, and will begin processing after confirming your payment.
Thanks to this recent policy update, the process of trademarking logos has become smoother and more accessible.
This change not only strengthens the trust and reliability of our logo design services, but also reinforces the overall foundation of AEDI’s design and web production work.
With a more secure and compliant framework in place, our clients can now move forward with their branding strategies with even greater peace of mind.
We sincerely appreciate your continued trust in AEDI and LogoLand.
