There’s a widely known figure in the spiritual realm named Eckhart Tolle, who authored a bestselling book titled “A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose.” This book, which sold a staggering 5.8 million copies in the United States, has left a significant impact.

I personally purchased this book nearly a decade ago (according to the publication date in my copy, it was first published on October 25, 2008) and have revisited it recently after spotting it on my bookshelf.

Within this book, there’s a chapter titled “Discovering Your True Self,” which contains a section on “abundance.” The content within this section is quite fascinating, so I’ve decided to summarize it, keeping it remarkably close to the original text.

Here is a summary of the section on “abundance”:

– Acknowledging the abundance already present in your life is the foundation of all abundance. If you feel the world is not giving you what you desire, it’s because you are not giving to the world. Somewhere within you, you believe you have nothing to give.

For example, try the following for a few weeks and observe the results: Give compliments, express gratitude, offer assistance, show affection, and engage in acts of kindness. If you believe you lack these qualities, behave as though you possess them, and they will manifest.

– When you start giving, you will soon receive.

– What you cannot give, you cannot receive.

– Output determines input. As Jesus put it, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap.”

– The source of all abundance is within you; abundance is a part of you. Continuously ask yourself, “What can I do here and now? How can I be of service to this person or situation?” Abundance can be felt even when you have nothing material.

It might manifest as the warmth of the sun on your skin, the beauty of flowers at a florist’s shop, or the joy of being drenched in rain pouring from the sky.

– When you consistently feel abundance, it flows to you.

– Abundance is destined only for those who already possess it.

– Both abundance and scarcity are inner states that manifest as your reality. As Jesus explained, “Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.”

And that concludes the summary.
